Designing for a hobby

Formula 1

Dechreuais ddylunio’r posteri yma ar ôl graddio, yn seiliedig ar gadw fy ngallu dyluniol a’i ehangu hyd yn oed yn fwy. Roedd wylio’r Chwaraeon yn newydd i mi, a gan bod pob rhas tua 2 awr o hyd, mae’n berffaith i mi ddylunio rhywbeth bach i bob un.

Rydw i wedi arbrofi gyda steiliau gwahanol; posteri golygyddol, infograffeg neu darluniol er mwyn coethi fy nhealltwriaeth o bob maes. Yn amlwg rydw i’n hoffi rhai yn fwy nag eraill, ond i bob un roeddwn yn benderfynol o gynnwys ychydig o wybodaeth am y rhas, ond yn bwysicach oll i ymchwilio mewn i’r lleoliadau gwahanol i gynnwys hunaniaeth personol i naill un. Megis steil hen hysbysebion tin tomato ar gyfer Imola (yr Eidal), cymesuredd traddodiadol Tseina, a braslun steil pensaernïaeth Hwngari.

Bydd yn ddiddorol weld beth bydd y gasgliad llawn yn edrych fel ar ddiwedd y flwyddyn!

I started creating these posters after deciding, fruitfully to keep my design ability and enhance it even more. The sport was new to me, and as each race is about 2 hours long, it's perfect for me to make a little something each time.

I've experimented with different styles; editorial, informative or illustrative posters in order to refine my understanding of each area. Obviously, there are some I personally like more than others, but for each creation I was determined to contain information about the race, but most importantly to able research the different countries to include an individual identity. Such as the style of old tin tomato advertisements for Imola (Italy), the traditional symmetry of China, and the sketchy style of Hungarian architecture.

It’ll be interesting to see what the full collection will look like at the end of the year!
