Graphic designing isn’t enough on its own now. Branching into motion graphics, videography or specialising in fields like branding, campaign design are growing more and more popular. Not to be left in the dust, I’ve been teaching myself how to edit videos - primarily for TikTok and Instagram Reels for the time being.
It’s a bit rough around the edges but to think I’ve only recently began, I’m quite pleased with the progress I’ve already managed to achieve.
Proud to be Welsh.
Though my hobbies don’t exclusively include football, my passions definitely support Welsh sporting icons such as Jess Fishlock herself. Hopping on the social media trends of the song sample and combining the lyrics with Fishlock herself creates a greater focus on her talent.
I would love to create more Wales-focused video edits moving forward.
Sebastian Vettel
What is more in tune with my hobbies is Formula One, and one of my personal favourite drivers; Mr Sebastian Vettel himself. With this video I used an unreleased song as more and more creators on TikTok promote it and therefore boosts the likelihood of my video coming across their pages. I focused more on this video to hit the beats of the song with the change of video to identify a more satisfying structure.
My most popular video
Combining fan favourite topics, powerful music edit associated with the sport already and keen eye for timing, I created my most popular video so far. Initially intended purely as practice and having a bit of a giggle making it, I didn't expect the reaction this video had on my TikTok and later Instagram Reels, with a combined almost 3K views . It was at this point I realised what I’m doing has potential to become more than a pastime and simply learning a new skill.
